The American Horticultural Therapy Association (AHTA)

AHTA was formed in 1973 for the promotion and development of programs which provide therapy and rehabilitation through horticulture. AHTA is dedicated to the advancement of the profession of Horticultural Therapy.

 

 

The Carolinas Chapter of the American Horticultural Therapy Association (CCAHTA)

 

CCAHTA came into being in 1988 for the purpose of bringing together professionals and practitioners who understand the important role plants and gardening play in improving quality of life, especially for those who are physically, emotionally or intellectually challenged. CCAHTA’s mission is to promote, support and encourage local and regional interest in horticulture and related activities as therapeutic and rehabilitative processes.
